BRIGHTON   BEACH   CROSSING


ORIGINALLY THE LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD BAY RIDGE BRANCH CROSSED THE
BROOKLYN, FLATBUSH AND CONEY ISLAND RAILROAD AT BRIGHTON BEACH CROSSING.



DURING THE GRADE CROSSING ELIMINATION THE LINES CROSSED AT GRADE.


THE SIGNALMAN'S CABIN WAS OPERATED BY THE B.R.T.
PROTECTIVE DEVICES WERE ONE LEVER CONTROLLING SIGNALS ON THE
BRIGHTON LINE AND FLAGS AND LANTERNS TO CONTROL L.I.R.R. TRAINS.


THIS IS LOOKING SOUTH TOWARD THE GRADE CROSSING -
THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE IS PROBABLY ON A WORK OR CONSTRUCTION TRAIN.

SINCE THE GRADE CROSSING ELIMINATION THE BRIGHTON LINE HAS CROSSED OVER THE BAY RIDGE BRANCH.
