IN 1917 MEADOW BROOK STATION WAS MOVED ABOUT ONE-HALF MILE EAST.
IN 1923 THIS STATION WAS RENAMED SALISBURY PLAINS AND A NEW MEADOW BROOK STATION
OPENED ON THE SITE OF THE HIGH PLATFORM STATION FOR AVIATION FIELD NO. 2.


ABOUT 1925 THIS BRIDGE REPLACED THE ORIGINAL MEADOW BROOK CLUB
ROAD BRIDGE (ON MAP ABOVE).   THESE 1964 VIEWS COURTESY OF DICK MAKSE.

TROLLEY CARS RAN FROM GARDEN CITY TO SALISBURY PLAINS (THEN MEADOW BROOK) FROM 1915 UNTIL 1933 WHEN THEY WERE REPLACED WITH MP41's.   THIS 1923 FELIX REIFSCHNEIDER PHOTO SHOWS OCEAN ELECTRIC RAILWAY CAR NO. 15 AT SALISBURY PLAINS STATION AND THE NEW STATION UNDER CONSTRUCTION.   IN 1927 O.E.RY. NOS. 31, 32 AND 34 BECAME L.I.R.R. NOS. 997, 998 AND 999.

IN 1973 THE TRACKS WERE GONE BUT THE FORMER STATION AND FIRE HYDRANT REMAINED.


DECEMBER 23, 2001 - THE FIRE HYDRANT, POLE, FENCE AND CURB REMAIN.
NO TRACE OF A RAILROAD EVER HAVING BEEN HERE.
